Kpop soloist IU donated around 450 million KRW (723,000 USD) worth of commodities and goods to underprivileged individuals on her 13th anniversary of being a solo kpop idol. IU DONATES $700,000 USD to the underprivileged
IU has donated 50,850 million KRW (approximately $ 723,000 USD) to various charities and organizations to celebrate her 13th birthday. According to a press release from IU agency EDAM Entertainment, IU has worked with a number of advertising companies and donated ₩ 850 million KRW (approximately $ 723,000 USD) to charities and organizations.

1,000 pairs of New Balance sneakers go to teens who are about to expire their allowed time in shelters
2,000 Banolim pizzas for children and teenagers in shelters
2,000 coats and winter clothing from BLACK YAK for children and young people in pre-winter shelters
300 bedding blankets and blankets at the health facilities
2,000 first aid kits from Kyungdong Pharmaceutical to health facilities
30,000 bottles of Jeju Samdasoo Water go to health facilities
Her label said, “The IU, affiliated enough to use the products it advertises, wanted to provide daily necessities in good places to celebrate her anniversary day. She will donate in person 425 million Won ($ 360,826.91 USD). Since her debut act in 2008, the IU has been making continuous contributions to those in need. Last May, she led by donating 500 million Won ($ 424,482.45 USD) to celebrate her 29th anniversary.

Born as Lee Ji-Eun, IU is one of the most famous K-pop artists. Since she first appeared at the age of 15, she has been in the industry since 2008.
