SCAM 1992: The show revolves around the Indian Stock Market of the 1990s based in Mumbai. At the time SEBI didn’t have strong regulations with the only BSE in play. The banking securities system was weak and with no banking technology, the only way to verify the transaction was through a piece of paper. Many traders and brokers took advantage of the system. Sucheta Dalal, then infamous financial column writer in TOI broke the story which highlighted the irregularities in dealing with govt. Securities.
With a powerful performance by lead actors, Pratik Gandhi, Hemant Kher, Anjali Barot, Shreya Dhanwanthary, Satish Kaushik, the film-makers have recreated the Bombay of 1990s, the shooting and chaos at Dalal street, from fabrics to costumes to Jober’s jacket.
