Shershaah trailer released yesterday featuring Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani, and has been receiving a positive response so far, from the critics and the audiences.
What happened?
Following the reviews about the Shershaah trailer, an anonymous user kind of juxtaposed the acting skills of Sidharth Malhotra and Abhishek Bachchan. The user compared Abhishek Bachchan’s acting to that of the SOTY star, manifesting Abhishek as the superior and latter being an inferior. Abhishek Bachchan or Junior Bachchan was seen supporting the tweet from the anonymous user as he replied with an emoji, with hands joined.
The user supported Abhishek Bachchan who played captain in L.O.C Kargil, saying that he portrayed the character better than Sidharth Malhotra in he upcoming movie Shershaan with Kiara Advani.
Since the reply of Abhishek Bachchan on that tweet, people have been criticising him for his support to a tweet which manifested him as superior and condemned the other actor which is, Sidharth Malhotra.
The user tweeted, “#ShershaahTraileris awsm. No offense to Siddharth malhotra (awsm actor did a good job ) but I think @juniorbachchanplayed Capt. Vikram batra (pvc) way better in #LocKargil movie. (Was more energetic especially in that dialogue – ye Dil mange more , Durga Mata ki jai)“.

To which Abhishek Bachchan replied with an emoji which was, “🙏”. However, Junior Bachchan deleted his reply from the twitter after receiving backlash from the people.

How netizens reacted to Abhishek Bachchan’s tweet on Sidharth Malhotra?
Some people got furious after seeing Abhishek’s reply to the tweet manifesting Sidharth as inferior and he himself as superior. They replied to his reply saying that Abhishek Bachchan is kind of mean spirited.
A user replied, “Why would he praise a comment that puts down another actor purely because some guy said that his acting was better? Kind of mean spirited of Abhishek , also it shouldn’t be considered a compliment as Siddhart Malhotra barely acts for most of his career.“
While the other one said, “He needs validation. I mean he barely gets praise so he’ll clasp onto it when he does. It is a little sad he has to reply to a tweet comparing him to another actor who I think can’t act”.
