The Weeknd snubbed by Grammys in 2021
The Weeknd had recently made the headlines after he decided to boycott the Grammys for not giving him a single nomination, despite his record breaking album of 2020, ‘After Hours’. “The Grammys remain corrupt. You owe me, my fans, and the industry transparency,” The Weeknd had tweeted at the time.
This year, for the first time ever, iHeart has introduced a new award: TikTok Bop of the Year Award. Some of the TikTok hits from last year, such as ‘Say So’, ‘Blinding Lights’, ‘Savage’, ‘WAP’, etc, have been nominated for it.

Megan Thee Stallion got nominations for Female Artist of the Year and Hip Hop Artist of the Year. She also won Hip Hop Song of the Year nomination for “Savage (Remix),” her No. 1 Beyoncé-assisted single. Her single with Cardi B, ‘WAP’, has also been nominated for Best Music Video, Favorite Music Video Choreography and TikTok Bop of the Year.
The performers for the ceremony are yet to announced.
