What was once thought of as nothing more than just cartoons, ANIME is now ruling the world in the entertainment sphere. These Japanese cartoons showcase iconic storytelling and animation, captivating enough to blow your mind away. A new wave of popularity was seen for these series and the viewership expanded to the western countries. This newfound obsession left people of all age groups, spend nights and days streaming Anime. Of course, It’s never too late to become a fan.

Though there are loads of great anime movies, we’ve limited this list to just the TV series.

7. Haikyuu!!

Based on the manga by Haruichi Furudate, HAIKYUU is a shonen sports anime consisting of four seasons. The story revolves around the life of Hinata, who transforms his middle-school Volleyball team and manages to carry them to a tournament. When his team is overpowered by another, Hinata works to surpass the rival team. The story is beautifully put together and is very gripping. Probably one of the best sports-based anime ever.

 

6. One Punch Man

Who doesn’t love a cool, unbothered hero? The story of Saitama, One Punch Man is a series in which there’s always a fight going on. All of the villains try to push Saitama’s buttons, whose powers are so mighty that one punch from him, the bad guy goes flying. This series is a commendable adaption of the manga drawn by Yusuke Murata. It’s so well animated that it is undoubtedly one of the best anime of all time.

 

5. Made in Abyss

Young Riko and her robot companion Reg set out to explore the Abyss, a gigantic chasm that stretches into the depths of the earth and is riddled with creatures and artifacts from long ago. Through Riko’s brave and vibrant attitude is comforting to the viewer, the horrors of the Abyss are palpable from the start. The storyline, the visual, the soundtrack is overwhelming.  it was one of the most acclaimed shows of the 2017 anime year, and its manga is equally acclaimed if not more. It’s a ride to discover the true gem that is MADE IN ABYSS.

ASSASSINATION CLASSROOM follows the story of some pupils trying to assassinate their homeroom teacher and if they don’t humanity will cease to exist in the not-so-distant future. It may look like a slow and dull anime but is actually filled with sentiments and quite emotional episodes.

It is also a pretty hilarious anime, enough to leave you laughing out loud even if you were bawling your eyes out in the previous episode.

Death Note is one of the most famous anime ever. With a storyline so dense and a genre so unique, the series’ execution is phenomenal. It follows the concept of a book, that can kill anyone whose name is written on it’s pages. It presents a deeply unique and compelling story, It never gets boring. This supernatural crime thriller anime is so captivating, it leaves the viewers dumbfounded. Light Yagami represents the madness inside the human mind, and how the world can never be perfect no matter the quantity of power you possess. Ryuk represents the desire to have fun while we still can.

it’s one of those series, that make you wanna finish watching all of it in one go. So get your popcorn and blankets and get seated on the rollercoaster that is DEATH NOTE.

An adaptation of Kohei Horikoshi’s manga with the same name, My Hero Academia, talks about the life of Izuku Midoriya, who desires to become a hero. Then comes the never-ending ocean of complications. My Hero Academia has been a phenomenon as both a manga and an anime. It is popular in the world of shonen. The characters have amazing designs, personalities, excellent development and are very well written.

With a pretty solid storyline, the series is full of powerful scenes and amazing animations. A must watch.

Number one on our list is THE ATTACK ON TITAN. This gut-wrenching anime is so gripping, it’s hard not to binge on it. It talks about humanity living in a place enclosed by walls and beyond these walls are man-eating titans. One day, the walls are broken through and Eren’s normal life is ripped to shreds. Eren and his friends embark on a journey to save humanity from these monstrosities and protect the ones who need to be saved.

The anime amazingly portrays human emotions, one of the reasons it’s so addictive. The plot becomes so deep at certain points, it’s too difficult to process. Attack on Titan totally deserves to be on the first spot.
