BTS’ “BUTTER” makes another record

As previously announced, BTS recorded an unusual record at Billboard’s Hot 100 for the week ending July 31. After “Permission to Dance” made its first record by removing “Butter” from No. 1 last week, “Butter” regained the top spot this week – making the band the first act in history to replace the No.1 with a new song, and then send the last No. 1 back to the top with no other artists in between.

In addition to entering Hot 100 for the eighth consecutive week, “Butter” also earned number 1 on Billboard’s Digital Song Sales chart, with “Permission to Dance” following on No. 1. 2.

“Butter” continued its winning streak at the top of Billboard’s Songs of the Summer chart, recording its sixth consecutive week at No. 1, and rose to the top of No. 9 on Billboard’s Pop Airplay chart (which scores weekly games on mainstream radio stations in the United States).

Additionally, the band remains number 1 on the Billboard’s Artist 100 with their 18th consecutive week at the top of the chart, expanding their record as the number one week in number 1. “Permission to Dance,” which featured No. 7 in this week’s Hot 100, also tightened at No. 2 on Billboard’s Global Excl. U.S. chart, No. 5 in Global 200, and 41 on the streaming song chart.

Meanwhile, “Butter” is ranked 4th in the Global Excl. U.S. chart, No. 6 in Global 200, and 40 on the streaming song chart. Finally, the long-running BTS 2020 “Dynamite” sued No. 17 at Global Excl. U.S. chart And 22 at the Global 200 this week.

A Big congratulations to BTS and ARMY for their eighteenth consecutive week on the Billboards Music Chart.
