Kpop Boyband BTS also known as Bangtan Sonyeondan recently made their comeback with an all English single called “Butter”. The song has set a huge number of records since it’s release, having amassed 10 million views in just 13 minutes. The song also made BTS achieve their highest debut on the billboard music charts for Pop Songs Radio Airplay.
“Butter” debuted at number 26 on the Pop Songs radio airplay charts, which mainly gives rankings to the most popular pop songs every week, cycling the Top 40 radio stations in the United Kingdom.
Since “Butter” was released on May 21, Friday, it entering the airplay chart is definitely a big feat as the song took only three days to make it to the Pop Songs Airplay Charts.
“Butter” also marks BTS’ highest debut ever, taking over their previous single Dynamite which made it to number 30 on the charts last year.
Unlike radio airplay charts, most Billboard charts that reflect sales and streaming numbers use data from a Friday-to-Thursday cycle, meaning that “Butter” will be hitting Billboard’s sales and streaming charts next week.
The septet performed at the Billboard music awards 2021 and won all four awards they were nominated for including Top Social Artist. BTS gave a spectacular performance which was aired from Seoul, South Korea.
