Byeon Woo Seok from Record Of Youth will be seen in a lead role in Netflix’s upcoming series called “20th Century Girl”. The cast also includes Kim Yoo Jung and the confirmation was made by the actor’s agency Varo Entertainment. Read on to know about the new series Netflix has in the making.
BYEON WOO SEO IN 20TH CENTURY GIRL
Byeon Woo Seok will be seen playing the role of Poong Woon Ho in the upcoming series and the story will follow the life, love and also friendships of Na Bo Ra. She is someone who values friendship much more than love or anything else. But she faces a situation in which she has to handle complex emotions when she feels her first love but the heartache, making it a habit to walk off. His love comes knocking on her door again like years ago in the 21st century.
Byeon’s character, Woon-ho, is Bo-ra classmate who is in the school’s broadcasting team. Actor Park Jung-woo will play his classmate Bo-ra, Baek Hyun-jin, who is a close friend of Woon-ho and the love of Bo-ra’s friend, Yeon-doo (Roh Yoon-SEO). The series will be the first for director Bang Woo-ri, who won the Blue Dragon Film Award for his short film “Mrs Young” in 2014.
Byeon Woo Seok’s Future Projects
Byeon, who first appeared as a role model, began his acting career after earning a small role in the JTBC drama, “My Dear Friends,” in 2016. He has played on various TV shows and web series since, such as “Secret Crushes” and “Search: WWW.” He caught the attention of viewers last year after starring in the tvN drama series, “Record of Youth,” starring Park Bo-gum and Park So-dam.
He is also expected to star in a play, “Soul Mate,” and the upcoming KKS series, “When Flowers bloom, I think of the moon” (direct translation), which will premiere in December.
