CAFE MINAMDANG: A PREVIEW
The forthcoming K-drama, which is based on the online book Minamdang: Case Note, recounts a string of odd occurrences that former criminal profiler Nam Han-jun (Seo In-GUK) encounters while using his training to pose as a shaman. Later, he meets the upright and true Han Jae-hee, a homicide investigator played by Oh Yeon-SEO. The show made a spectacular debut on Netflix. CAFE MINAMDANG: Episode 1 Review
The first episode of Café Minamdang opens with Nam Han-jun, a con artist shaman, being led through the MK Nobel Hotel as the CEO Lee Min-honored gyeong’s guest.
Han-jun, an eccentric and elegant man, storms into her interview space after allegedly feeling an odd aura. He asserts that hotel manager Ko Ju-won is haunted by the malevolent ghost of an ex-employee while engaging in a shamanic dance replete with a rattle and fan. Han-jun then accuses Ju-won of sexually harassing the ex-employee and driving her away to the point where she killed herself.
The comic tone makes it all rather simple to understand despite the fact that this first episode has a lot going on, with individuals and cases on both sides of the court. The excellent camaraderie among the Minamdang members enhances their wild pranks. The Nam siblings work particularly well as a unit, and their cosy, argument-filled connection is very plausible.
When and Where to stream Cafe Minamdang with English subtitles
The entire world can watch Cafe Minamdang on Netflix. However, this is a KBS2 Original that airs on Saturdays and Sundays at 9.30 pm for Korean viewers (KST). English subtitles should be accessible right away thanks to Netflix’s lightning-fast subtitle crew.
