K-pop female soloist Chungha released a full Spanish language version of the song “Demente” on Wednesday, as the singer’s management agency announced.
The new version of “Demente,” a track from the singer’s latest album, was droped at 1 p.m. on major global music streaming platforms, according to MNH Entertainment. The Latin-pop number, featuring popular Reggaeton rapper Guaynaa, was included in “Querencia,” the singer’s first studio album released last month.The original version was partly sung in Korean, but the upcoming single will entirely be in Spanish.
Chungha diversified her musical genre in the latest album, and the new version of “Demente” will once again prove that she is a talented diva, the agency said.

The song’s accompanying music video captures Chung Ha performing the song in a luxurious hotel lobby in various glamorous outfits. Meanwhile, featured artist Guaynaa appears remotely from halfway across the world. “Chungha, who challenged herself with various genres and proved her vast musical spectrum with ‘Querencia’, will once again show her all-rounder diva side through the new interpretation of ‘Demente’,” her agency MNH Entertainment said of the new version of the song in a statement.
The singer debuted in 2016 as a member of a one-year project girl group I.O.I and expanded her career as a solo artist the following year. Since then, she has emerged as one of the most promising solo artists in the K-pop scene with a string of hits, including “Why Don’t You Know,” Roller Coaster” and “Snapping.”
The solo Queen released QUERENCIA on February 15, 2021. The album has received many rounds of applause and positive critics feedback as it manages to smoothly fit in the many different genres and styles of music. After releasing a breathtaking teaser, Chungha dropped the MV of Demente today. Both Chungha and the Spanish rapper, Guaynaa, look incredibly stylish and compliment each other really well. The original Demente in the album has a mix of Korean and Spanish lyrics, however, this MV version is recorded fully in Spanish!
She debuted in 2016, in a girl group called I.O.I through the show Produce 101 by ranking fourth on the show overall. However the group disbanded in 2017 and since then, Chungha has been working as a soloist.
