A newly surfaced video on the Internet, via TMZ, shows rappers Saweetie and Quavo get in physical altercation in an elevator of an apartment complex. To fans this appears as there might be more to Quavo and Saweetie’s recent breakup and then the Video footage has surfaced showing the former couple in a physical altercation that allegedly happened last year
Quavo and Swaeetie’s dating life
Quavo and Saweetie, both who are pretty famous in the rap world, started dating in 2018, became known for giving each other lavish presents.
Quavo was her “celebrity crush” before they ever met, Swaeetie said in an interview with People in January, before their breakup in March. She even added that “I think the reason why we’ve lasted so long is because we’re like friends who are really, really, really attracted to each other,”.
Quavo and Saweetie fighting Video: What does the video show?
Through the minute and a half long video, we can clearly see the couple struggling in the elevator, fighting for what seems like an orange Call Of Duty suitcase. In the video, we can see Saweetie at first taking a swing at Quavo, which he dodges, and throwing the suitcase out of the elevator. Quavo then grabs Sawteeie’s hoodie and pulls her into the elevator and falls on top of her due to the struggle. He gets up with the suitcase, but Saweetie remains on the floor. Quavo does not make any move to help her get up, although he does keep glancing at her from time to time.
The doors open to reveal someone standing outside of the elevator, but that person doesn’t enter. At the end, Quavo places the case on the floor to stop the doors from closing, and waits until Saweetie picks herself up and exits. The video is back from 2020, back when they were still dating.

Various users got divided on who they think is right based off the one minute video. Many are calling out Quavo for using his power on his girlfriend, while others are saying that it was Saweetie who swung at him first, and he handled the situation without hitting her.
Well the truth is that we don’t know what happened before and after the video, what the fight was about, and what the contents of the suitcase were. So it’s difficult to point fingers at who was right and who was wrong.
Quavo and Saweetie Public Split
Just earlier this moth, Saweetie had announced that she and Quavo will be splitting, after she accused him of infidelity.
The rappers, born Diamonté Harper and Quavious Marshall, had recently made their split public on Twitter.
“I’m single. I’ve endured too much betrayal and hurt behind the scenes for a false narrative to be circulating that degrades my character,” Saweetie tweeted. “Presents don’t band aid scars and the love isn’t real when the intimacy is given to other women.”
“I emotionally checked out a long time ago and have walked away with a deep sense of peace and freedom. Excited for this new chapter of elevation 🙏🏽.,” she added in another tweet.
Later that day, Quavo responded to Saweetie’s post writing, “You are not the woman I thought you were.”
“I know you want to make this into a show so I’ll play my part just this one time,” he wrote. “I don’t normally put my business out there, especially my personal life. I feel the need to address this so there are no false narratives.”
