Emraan Hashmi, who was recently seen in Jubin Nautiyal’s romantic video song Lut Gaye has revealed why he is distancing from the film industry even after giving so many years to it.
The Jannat star, in a recent radio interview, revealed why he distance himself from the glamour ang glitz of the showbiz world and even calls it fake after giving almost two decades to the film industry. He unvieled that he has followed a certain “work ethic” ever since he first made an appearance in films.
Upon asked why he distance himself from the bollywood industry, he stated that he finds it ‘fake’ since insiders mostly hype people on their faces but also tear the same people down behind their back.
“Aisa toh hai (This is a fact). There are no two ways about it. That is the truth of our industry. But it is not just because of that. I think a person’s life should be more than just their profession”, he further told the radio host Siddharth Kannan.
Upon asked what has remained him grounded in the film industry even after so many years he said, his friends, whom he has known for years and who have nothing to do with the film industry, have helped him remain humble and grounded. He further added that his family also gives him a ‘realistic perspective’ on things, Emraan also created them for keeping him grounded.
The B-Town actor further stated that maintaining distance from the industry has helped him maintain his sanity and rationality.

Meanwhile, the actor is all set for Sanjay Gupta’s ‘Mumbai Saga’, a crime thriller, alongside John Abhraham, which will be releasing in March this year. He will also be seen in ‘Chehre’ alongside Amitabh Bachchan, releasing in April. He will further play thr role of an antagonist in Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif’s starrer ‘Tiger 3’.

Emraan Hashmi was recently seen in Jubin Nautiyal’s love ballad titled Lut Gaye, which received immense love from the audience and critics. “Lut Gaye’ is a beautiful melody and I am grateful that the audience has given it love. I was a bit apprehensive to keep track of how it’s faring, but when people started speaking highly of it, I was glad it received so much love and appreciation”, Emraan said in an interview.
