EUPHORIA: Here Are Some Questions That Were Left Unanswered After ‘Euphoria’ Season 2’s Finale

Euphoria Season 2 has come to a conclusion after eight episodes that had us attempting to love Cassie (Sydney Sweeney) even when she was at her worst, making memes on the furious character of Maddy (Alexa Demie), and seeing Rue (Zendaya) fall to the darkest regions of her psyche. The season finale delivered and disappointed in a variety of ways, wrapping up some loose ends while still leaving a lot of unanswered questions for the already-confirmed third season. Here’s all you need to know about the second season and the unanswered questions.

What happened to Ashtray and Fezco in Euphoria Season Two?

The firefight between Fez (Angus Cloud), Ashtray (Javon Walton), and an armed police team was one of the most dramatic scenes of the Season 2 finale. Custer (Tyler Chase) tries to elicit a confession from Fez regarding who is to blame for Mouse’s murder, but after getting a signal from Faye, Ashtray stabs and murders him while the cops are monitoring them. Fez begs Ashtray to surrender, but he refuses, and a brutal corridor shootout erupts. Fez is shot in the stomach, and Ashtray is taken out of the picture.

We have optimism for the next season because neither character appears to be genuinely dead. Even if they survive, they’ll almost certainly spend the rest of their lives in prison.

Is the Video that Nate Gave to the Police of Jules in the EUPHORIA S2 Finale?

Cal (Eric Dane) and Jules (Hunter Schafer) having sex on camera is a crucial spark for the toxic drama that surrounds their and Nate’s (Jacob Elordi) narrative in Season 1. Nate, acting as “Shy Guy” and convincing Jules that she had finally met a respectable guy, is blackmailing her. Nate’s redemption narrative begins in Season 2 when he returns the tape. Cal has come out to his family and left, effectively ending Nate’s influence over him. However, his life of ‘freedom’ soon ends as Nate returns with his tapes to destroy him.

We see Nate handing over a storage device to the cops in the conclusion. Is this the Jules and Cal video that Nate mentioned earlier, or is it just a video of Cal with other youngsters?

Laurie, the series’ new villain, is introduced in the first episode of Season 2. Laurie, a former teacher, and drug dealer appears to be calm and cool, but has a dangerous aura surrounding her. Rue, Fez, Faye (Chloe Cherry), Custer, and Ashtray are all beaten up by her men, leaving Rue devastated. After a few episodes, Rue realizes she can’t afford to maintain her expensive habit, so she approaches Laurie and proposes a business partnership. Rue leaves with a $10,000 amount of narcotics in her bag. Rue doesn’t seem to do much with it other than snort it. Leslie informs Rue that she flushed the contents of the bag down the toilet after discovering that she is using again.

After trying to give Laurie some stolen jewelry, Rue is informed by her very calmly that she only accepts cash, and if Rue does not have the cash, the she would have to find another way of getting her money back. Although we see Rue escape her place and try to get clean off drugs, the later episodes don’t give us anymore scenes with Laurie, and we are left with another question: Will Laurie come for Rue when she least expects it? How far is she willing to go to get her money back from a high-schooler.
