Taylor Swift controversy
In the beginning of March, ‘Ginny and Georgia’ became the target of many Swifties, after the show made a sexist and misogynistic comment on Taylor Swift.
In the show, during the final episode of the series, during a conversation between characters Ginny and her mother Georgia, Ginny Miller asks her mother, “What do you care? You go through men faster than Taylor Swift.”
This comment enraged the fans, which led to a huge drop in the ratings of the show. Even Taylor Swift took to her Twitter account to call out Netflix and the show.
However, despite this set back, ‘Ginny and Georgia’ has managed to maintain the first position in the Netflix ratings of it’s top 10 most popular shows.
