GOT7 Shares Handwritten Letters For Fans As They Leave JYPE: To New Beginnings

GOT7, a former JYP Entertainment group, shared heartfelt letters for their fans on their Instagram account as they leave the company. The members- JB, Mark, Jinyoung, Jackson, Youngjae, BamBam, and Yugyeom are now beginning new journeys after seven years of being together and amassing great success.

“Ahgase, this is GOT7. First of all, we feel very apologetic to our Ahgase about writing a letter for a reason like this. We are parting ways without contract renewal with JYP [Entertainment], which launched our beginning with us and worked hard for us until the end, as we cheer on each other’s futures. All of us members will be taking on new starts with people who will take responsibility together for each of our individual futures. We are writing to you like this as we want to tell our fans first.

We know very well that no words can make up for the hurt feelings and uneasiness felt by Ahgase.

However, we think there is just one thing that we can really say to Ahgase as GOT7.

All of us want to continue making music for Ahgase, share it together, and continue spending time together in the future!

Rather than leaving the memories with Ahgase, who supported and watched over us who were imperfect, in the past, we want to aim towards the future with the memories. Making it a reality instead of just a ray of hope, the seven of us will impress you for a long time as we each grow in different ways. Love you, I GOT7.”

JYP last week made it official that its deal with the septet will end Tuesday as scheduled, with none of the members renewing.

Although we are parting with GOT7 members, JYP will be wholeheartedly supporting all their journeys in the future. We also sincerely thank IGOT7s who’ve supported the group throughout its career”,  the company said.

The group’s main dancer and vocalist, Yugyeom, seems to be seeking a partnership with one of the nation’s biggest hip-hop labels — AOMG, owned by rapper-singer Jay Park. Youngjae is in talks with the Sublime Artist Agency. Leader JB is reportedly gearing up for solo activities in partnership with a global record label. Jackson has launched his own brand called Team Wang. BamBam is expected to pursue a career in Thailand. Taiwanese-American Mark will be returning home to Los Angeles to spend more time with his family. Jinyoung will work on his acting career.
