The much-anticipated Marvel Hawkeye series dropped last month and went with a blast. The latest Marvel series lasted just five weeks, starting with Thanksgiving and ending just a few days before Christmas. In the new series, star Hailee Steinfeld is contemplating her life as Kate Bishop in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Hailee Steinfeld talked about the series and her experience of working with Marvel on the Hawkeye mini-series during a guest appearance on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. The series also starred Florence Pugh, Jeremy Renner, and Alaqua Cox.
HAILEE STEINFELD AS KATE BISHOP IN MARVEL’S HAWKEYE
Marvel’s Hawkeye finished its first season on Wednesday. The mini-series was about Kate’s journey to become a hero, learning from Clint and even teaching him a few things along the way. Now that the series is over, Marvel fans may be wondering if it is now Kate’s turn to join the Avengers team.
In the comics, Kate takes Hawkeye’s mantle from Clint. She has worked with Avenger from time to time but has always been very close to the Young Avengers team. Florence Pugh who was introduced as Yelena Belova (Black Widow’s younger sister) in the movie which focused on Natasha Romanoff’s character, is also a part of the Hawkeye series.
HAILEE TALKS ABOUT MARVEL OFFICE ON THE JIMMY FALLON SHOW
During a guest appearance on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Hailee Steinfeld gave an insight into the Marvel world and how she felt like a new addition to the Marvel Cinematic universe. While talking about her character she said, “She, I think, is forced into the reality of what it means to be a superhero. It’s not all jumping from buildings and making people smile. There is, as she says, collateral damage that can go along with it. But that doesn’t stop her,” Steinfeld explained.
Hailee also gave fans a little teaser about how the Marvel office looks like. She said “I entered through gates, underground parking and full lockdown effect. It felt like a Marvel movie. The whole meeting was whispered.”
WILL HAILEE GET ANOTHER APPEARANCE IN THE MCU?
Hawkeye may not have concluded with the message “Kate Bishop Will Return” on screen, but it has been made quite clear that Hailee Steinfeld’s character will be staying here. Her relationship with Clint is likely to continue to emerge as he teaches her the ropes. Eventually, though, there will be another major threat, and Earth’s heroes will reunite.
