Netflix’s most awaited fantasy show “The Witcher” came back with another season recently. The show is based on the books written by Polish writer Andrzej Sapkowski and a game with the same is also very popular among fans. The show stars Henry Cavill, Anya Chalotra, and Freya Allan. The first season of the show came out on Netflix two years ago and achieved a massive viewership of 76 million across the globe.
The production team revealed that Henry Cavill who plays the protagonist, Geralt Of Rivia rewrote the big Roach Scene in the new season of the show.
HENRY CAVILL WROTE THE BIG ROACH SCENE
When season 2 was recently released, The Witcher made some shocking changes, it was the opening song of episode 6, “Dear Friend …” in which Geralt, Ciri, and their equine roach Roach met a dragon-like beast, which destroyed the author’s heart.
In both The Witcher’s books and video games, “Roach” is the name Geralt used for his current horse. So, when his current horse dies, in the heat of battle, he anoints a new female horse with a title. The superstition of it all makes the tragic death of The Witcher season 2 feel limited: Killing off Roach is both an inner joke for fans who understand the circle of life, and a really painful moment at the same time.
HENRY CAVILL DISHES ABOUT THE NEW SEASON
The director of The Witcher announced that he will be moving forward quickly with the storyline in the first few episodes, Unfortunately, one of the victims of Geralt’s new idea of governing Geralt himself: Cavill is still a lot of fun in the role, and his new impetus with Ciri reveals a defensive nature to him that we have never seen before.
Henry, while talking about the new season said that the new episodes will focus more on Ciri and Geralt’s relationship as she trains to become a witcher, and some aspects of the second season will be a little more confusing than the first which was full of mind-boggling timelines.
