The Brit Awards took place tonight at the O2 Arena in London, and the event featured an actual audience, as it was being put on as part of the Government’s Events Research Programme – in pursuit of overcoming the pandemic to bring back the live music ceremonies. As many as 4,000 people attended the ceremony – 2,500 of whom are hero key workers who won tickets through a ballot.
For obvious safety reasons, there had been mass testing, and so no social distancing/masks were required at the event.

Brit Awards Winner List:
The night ended with various artists getting the awards that they clearly deserved. From Taylor Swift winning the Global Artist Award, to Little Mix becoming the first girl group to win the award for ‘Best Group’, to Dua Lipa bagging two awards for her recent album, the night has been stolen by the ladies!
“Women have always made great music and wonderful albums, but this is the first time in the entire Brits history that we have dominated the best album category,” said Jessie in a statement. “The time is now—albeit long overdue—to start respecting and appreciating the vital role women, and their music, play in the British music industry.”

The Brit Awards 2021
Comedian Jack Whitehall is hosting for the Brit Awards for fourth time. “It really is always an honour to do it but this year feels even more special. I must be doing something right to be invited back.”, he said, ahead of the ceremony. “This is about celebrating all the artists that made the music which helped us get through what’s been a b*d of a year. It’s also now just a nice excuse to get out of the house and put on a suit.”
