Moon Lovers actor Hong Jong Hyun recently got discharged from the military after completing his compulsory training of one year and six months. The actor is managed by the entertainment company C-JeS entertainment and after the actor’s discharge, the company shared a statement which said “Hong Jong Hyun, who enlisted as an active duty soldier in December 2019, was discharged in good health today after completing his military service of one year and six months.”
Who is Hong Jong Hyun?
Hong jong hyun is very famous for his duality as he can rock the role of a blood thirsty villain as well as a soft lead that makes your heart swoon. The 31 year old actor was seen in dramas like Vampire Idol, Jeon Woo Chi, and Dating Agency: Cyrano and Scarlett Heart Ryeo: Moon Lovers. He was last seen in a KBS drama “Mother of mine” playing the lead role of Han Tae Joo. The show focused on the relationship between mothers and daughters.
Hong Jong Hyun talks about his military training
After leaving the military, Hong Jong Hyun said “I have been discharged after successfully completing my military service. There were difficult times in the military, but they were times that allowed me to have valuable experiences more than anything.”
The actor also talked about the time he was nearing his discharge, “As my discharge approached, the fans who sent me off for my enlistment came to my mind a lot. When I was at the training center and at my assigned unit, I gained lots of strength while reading the letters sent by fans who have always supported me. The times I spent reading each letter gave me lots of comfort, and I think I was able to successfully complete my military service as a result. I will work harder in the future so I can be seen in many different places.”
He will now be focusing on the upcoming projects that he will be taking up on his acting and modelling front.
