The last scene of the Black Widow movie surprised not only the audience but also the Hawkeye writing staff. Writer Jonathan Igla recalled that he had to keep quiet for a while. Actors including Yelena of Florence Pugh and Clint Barton of Jeremy Renner did not have a clue about it.

Jeremy Renner made a guest appearance on the Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon to promote the release of his new mini-series “Hawkeye” starring Florence Pugh, Hailee Steinfeld, and Jeremy Renner himself.

JEREMY RENNER IN HAWKEYE MINI SERIES

Renner made an appearance on the Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon to promote Marvel’s latest installation “Hawkeye”, the television mini-series. Former Avenger Clint Barton has a seemingly simple task: get back to his family for Christmas. Is it possible? Perhaps with the help of Kate Bishop, a 22-year-old archer who dreams of becoming a Mighty Warrior. The two united to work together when Barton’s past presence threatens to be more disruptive than the holiday spirit.

“I DID NOT HAVE A CLUE ABOUT IT”: JEREMY TALKS ABOUT BLACK WIDOW’S POST CREDIT SCENE

In the post-credits scene of the Black Widow, Yelena, the new character played by Florence Pugh, is set in the way of Clint Barton / Hawkeye by Jeremy Renner, mocking the appearance of Renner’s Disney + show. By the time Marvel added to the scene, the Hawkeye team had already written Yelena on their show after great writer Jonathan Igla asked to include her in the series.

One day, Igla received word from Marvel Studios manager Kevin Feige that the Black Widow would file a lawsuit leading to Hawkeye, but he had to keep that to himself to keep the secret for as long as possible.
