Actress Zendaya feels that it is important not to be intimidated in Hollywood and she doesn’t want to be made to feel she is difficult just because she stands up for herself.

Zendaya’s interview with OK! Magazine

Actress Zendaya, in a recent interview with OK! Magazine revealed a bit about herself and stated, “As a young woman in this industry, I think it’s important not to be intimidated. I think that we’re sometimes told to be a little bit afraid of our power. We’re sometimes made out to be difficult or hard to work with, but we are just doing what everyone else is doing”.  It is about “owning that power”, Zendaya added.

She said that one should not be afraid to ask for the things they’re worthy of doing. She said, “It’s about not being afraid to ask for the things that you know you are worth or are worthy of”.

She added, “When I finished my Disney show, I had been working since I was 13. I had not had a job, but then, all of a sudden, it stopped and I was like, ‘I don’t know what I am going to do”.

Zendaya further added that she felt stagnant after she gained super success through Disney shows such as Shake It Up and K.C. Undercover.

She mentioned, “”I felt very stagnant because I’d been doing the same thing for so long. But I knew I could do more and I knew there was a lot that people didn’t know about me. Nothing really connected until I got ‘Euphoria’, which I landed the month before I was supposed to do ‘Spider-Man’ “.

Zendaya’s latest movies

Zendaya, born on September 01, 1996, was last seen in movies like Dune, Spider-Man: Far From Home, Smallfoot, Duck Duck Goose and The Greatest Showman.

Zendaya also won the Emmy award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for Euphoria, in the 72nd Emmy Awards, becoming the youngest winner of the award. Euphoria is an adaptation of the Israeli Series of the same name, as Rue, a 17-year-old drug addict and the narrator of the series.

Zendaya in Malcolm and Marie

Zendaya shot for ‘Malcolm and Marie’ with John David Washington, during lockdown with proper safety measures which was released on February 5 this year. The film received mixed reviews from critics, who praised Zendaya and Washington’s performances and Levinson’s direction but criticized his screenplay.

“Full of excitement and nervousness as this Lil movie we made in lockdown with people I love is coming out in the next few hours. Nervousness for a few reasons. Normally I’m pretty self-critical and that leads me to be far too fearful to make things myself or trust myself enough to even try.

This is really my first time believing that maybe I could. This is my first time being a leading lady, but also my first time being this creatively involved in something, producing something, co-financing something, owning something and sharing it all with my crew. We made this as a family, shot it in 14 days with a 22 person crew I am eternally grateful for.

For their talent, their time, their hard work, and their willingness to believe in this film. If there’s anything to learn from this year, and I hope from our little movie, it’s gratitude for every moment and every person we get to love. To stop and acknowledge the people in our lives who make it possible to do the work we do and honestly, make life worth living. It comes in many forms and sometimes it’s just a thank you.

All that being said, on behalf of our little crew of 22, we hope you laugh (please laugh lol) and cry and hopefully enjoy this little thing we made with a whole lot of love.
Love Maree (I spell mine with two E’s)” Zendaya took to her Instagram and wrote with a short clip from ‘Malcolm and Marie.

She also announced the title for her new Spider-man film and wrote, “So excited to announce the new Spider-Man title. So proud of this one…FOS is back! (Friends of Spider-Man)”
