Upcoming Netflix Original series “The Sound of Magic” has revealed its cast lineup! “The Sound of Magic” is described as a sentimental music drama about a girl named Yun Ai who becomes an adult too quickly and the mysterious magician Lee Eul, an adult who wishes to be a child forever.
The drama is based on the webtoon “Annarasumanara” by writer Ha Il Kwon which was serialized on Naver Webtoon in 2010 and has also been adapted into a play. PD (producing director) Kim Sung Yoon of KBS 2TV’s “Love in the Moonlight” and JTBC’s “Itaewon Class” will be helming the drama. The script will be penned by Kim Min Jung, who has previously worked with PD Kim Sung Yoon on “Love in the Moonlight” and “Who Are You.” Together, the director and writer will involve musical elements in the drama in addition to the delicate sensibility and breathtaking magic of the original webtoon. The series will be produced by JTBC Studio and Zium Content.
Hwang In Yeop is back! The talented rising star who won hearts with his earnest portrayal as Han Seo Jun in True Beauty is finally confirmed to star alongside Ji Chang Wook and Choi Sung Eun in Annarasumanara! On April 15, Netflix Korea confirmed the cast by sharing a picture of Hwang In Yeop, Ji Chang Wook and Choi Sung Eun on their official Instagram.

“The sound of Magic”: OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT
Ji Chang Wook will take on the role of Lee Eul, a strange magician who lives in an abandoned theme park. Choi Sung Eun will play Yun Ai, who lives a dreadful life until she meets Lee Eul and goes through magical experiences. Her classmate Na Il Deung will be played by Hwang In Yeop. Na Il Deung used to be a student who only focused on his studies and didn’t know how to bond with other people, but he begins to change after he learns about the fun of magic with Lee Eul and Yun Ai.
Meanwhile, Ji Chang Wook wrapped up his previous drama “Lovestruck in the City” earlier this year. Rising actor Hwang In Yeop has amassed a strong following of fans with his roles in “18 Again” and “True Beauty,” and Choi Sung Eun is a newcomer who has captivated viewers with her acting in “Beyond Evil” and the episode “Joan’s Galaxy” from “SF8.”
After the tremendous success of TVN’s new kdrama TRUE BEAUTY, the cast received immense love and support, so much so that it was overwhelming for the actors. The cast included Moon Ga Young who played Im Ju Kyung, the female lead along with Cha Eunwoo and Hwang in Yeop who played our mesmerizingly handsome boys- Lee Suho and Han Seojun. The drama aired its last episode on February 4, and although Hwang In Yeop already shared his thoughts on the drama coming to an end, he took a moment to address his fans directly. The actor/singer took to his Instagram account and posted a heartfelt letter thanking his fans and expressing how grateful he is for all the love that was showered upon him.
Hwang In Yeop rose to fame through dramas like Tale of Nokdu and 18 again. Fans are currently in a dilemma to choose between the two main leads as both of them continue to steal hearts. Viewers were mesmerized by the actor’s voice when he performed Alex’s Flowerpot and Maktub’s To You My Light in one of the episodes.
He even sang the official soundtrack for true beauty called “Missing You”. This is the first time the actor has officially sung any OST.
Hwang In Yeop’s melodious and deep voice stole hearts the minute he was seen in the drama. Hwang In Yeop’s ‘bad boy with a heart of gold’ performance as Han Seo Jun has captured fans’ hearts’ worldwide, catapulting the rookie actor to newfound stardom. He gained millions of followers ever since True Beauty was first aired. True Beauty is based on a webtoon written by YAONGYI. It was Yaongyi’s first webtoon and it turned out to be a hit, securing the number one place on the webtoon charts for a long time.
The 30 year old actor plays a 17 year old high school student who has a conflict with his former best friend Lee Su Ho and both of them happen to fall in love with the same girl, Im Ju Kyung. He is a loving son to his sick mother and a supportive Oppa to his younger sister. Netizens all over the world are captivated by the actor’s youthful features and he sure doesn’t look like he’s 30.

Just 10 minutes into watching Kakao TV’s drama, Lovestruck in the City, viewers realize it’s not your ordinary K-drama with a sequential plot. The Kakao TV original drama, with episodes, also released on Netflix two hours after the Kakao TV release, targets the young generation with its fast-paced and unique storytelling, combining interviews of different characters and flashbacks to tell the love stories of young people in the city. With each episode running 30 minutes, the quick, easy-to-consume structure targets those watching dramas on their smartphones.
The first episode of the 16-episode Netflix Original series showed six actors representing different young people in society giving an interview about their experiences with love. The star-studded lineup featuring Ji Chang-wook and Kim Ji-won was another reason the drama series instantly caught people’s interest, with over 940,000 views on Kakao TV for the premiere in its first 24 hours.
