After Sweet and Sour, Netflix is now preparing to release another Netflix Original Korean Film called “twentieth century girl” starring Backstreet Rookie actress Kim Yoo Jung and Byun Woo Seok . Sweet and sour was successful because of it’s unconventional storyline. A coming of age story with a very beautiful depiction of the couples who try to sort out things that went wrong.
Sweet and sour is a remake of the Japanese film “Initiation Love” from 2016, revolving around a couple in a long distance relationship, with a very unpredictable story. The film is currently available to stream on Netflix.

Twentieth Century Girl
The upcoming film “twentieth century girl” will talk about a man and a woman in their school days from 1999 and also the present times. Kim Yoo Jung’s management agency Awesome ENT released a statement about her participation in the new movie,
It is true that she received an offer to play the female lead in the Netflix Original ’20th Century Girl,’ but her appearance [in the film] has not been confirmed. It is currently being reviewed.
Twentieth century girl will mark Yoo Jung’s debut on Netflix- an international streaming site.
The actress is also in talks to be seen opposite Ahn Hyo Seop from Abyss in a new historical drama called “Hong chun gi- the red sky”. She debuted as a child model for a confectionary item at the tender age of five and has been a very popular child actress in various k-dramas. She was last seen in “backstreet rookie” opposite Ji Chang Wook.
While the male lead in the film is to be taken up by Byun Woo Seok who rose to fame for his striking performance in “Record Of Youth” from 2020. He will also be seen in the movie “soulmate” alongside Jeon So Nee and Kim Da Mi from Itaewon Class. 20th century girl will begin shooting in the later half of 2021 and Kim Yoo jung will join the shooting after wrapping up “The red sky”.
