Kris Wu Loses Endorsement Deals Amid Allegations of Sexual Misconduct in China: Rumored Ex Girlfriend Accuses Him Of Predatory Behavior

Important luxury brands are dumping their partnerships with Kris Wu, a former member of the k-pop group EXO and one in all China’s most influential celebrities, after he was accused of predatory conduct to women. He was accused of infidelity in addition to predatory behaviour by rumoured girlfriend Du Meizhu. Wu and his team have denied the allegations, taking legal action. Read on to know more.

The allegations have created a nationwide scandal and set the Chinese internet on fire. Eight out of the top 10 searches on the Twitter-like Weibo platform on Monday had been about the scandal, whilst simply one of the many related hashtags has garnered loads of thousands of remarks and almost 2 billion views.

“I just need to… prevent all people from being harm once more. I’m hoping I will be the last sufferer,” said 19 year-old college student Du Meizhu, who has come forward with unique allegations about the 30 year old EXO megastar. Wu, a Canadian citizen, has strongly denied the allegations. On Monday, Wu issued an official announcement through his social media.

Global manufacturers which include Lancome, Porsche, Bulgari, Vatti, Kiehl’s and Tuborg have hidden posts proposing the entertainer or dropped him. Louis Vuitton temporarily eliminated their posts, but later reinstated them. Chinese businesses have executed the same thing, beginning from makeup emblem Kans and followed by Tencent, detergent business enterprise Libai, music streamer Yunting and video game “King of Glory.”

Wu first made a name for himself as a part of the Chinese member of SM entertainment’s boyband EXO. He left the organisation in 2014 to seek his own opportunities in China. Since then Wu has been a fixture on some of the u . S . A .’s most famous range indicates, including Tencent’s pinnacle girl group audition show “produce camp 2020” and iqiyi’s “rap of china,” which helped carry the genre into the mainstream.
