‘Man, this movie was difficult’- Hrithik Roshan on 13 years of Jodha Akbar

Hrithik Roshan on 13 years of Jodha Akbar

Hrithik Roshan took to his instagram account and reminisced about Jodha Akbar and the memories tied to it as it completed 13 years. He mentioned that Jodha Akbar was really a difficult movie for him to do but it turned him into a much stronger person.

Hrithik was being nostalgic and recalled working with the very beautiful, Aishwarya Rai and the very hard-working director Ashutosh Gowariker. His reminiscing of Jodha Akbar turned out to be for double celebrations. First, 13 years Anniversary of the film and second being Ashutosh Gowariker’s (director of the film Jodha Akbar) birthday.

In a video post he shared on instagram recently, he wrote a beautiful memory note of his, from the movie, in the caption. He said, Memories . #JodhaaAkbar
Man this movie was difficult . I was shit scared when Ashutosh Gowarikar offered it to me . Couldn’t understand how he could see someone like me commanding 10,000 soldiers. But then that’s what a director does . He envisions what you can’t . And that’s the reason I did the film .

More than the script or story , it was for experiencing what this impossibility would do to me , how it would change me , make me stronger perhaps . And what I learnt was that to do strong things , you don’t need to be strong in the beginning ! In fact the decision of wanting to be strong comes before . And it MEANS having to choose that which is beyond your ability at the time of choosing. Trusting that the experience itself will do the rest. The challenge then itself creates the stronger you .
It’s Magic .
Try it .

Have a look at Hrithik Roshan’s instagram post here:

Hrithik was ‘scared’ for being a part of Ashutosh’s Jodha Akbar and was confused as to why the director chose Hrithik for the role of Akbar, commanding 10,1000 soldiers. But, the movie rather turned Hrithik into a much stronger actor, performer and as a person. He also suggested that one doesn’t need to be strong in the beginning to do strong things in the future, as accepting the challenge will turn a person into a stronger one and he calls it a MAGIC and should be tried by a person.

About the story of Jodha Akbar:

Jodhaa Akbar portrayed the epic romance between Jalaluddin Mohammad Akbar, the Mughal emperor of Hindustan in the 16th century, and the Rajput princess Jodhaa. The mutual respect and admiration between Jodha and Akbar turn into love.
