Baek Seung Yoo and Sung Ye Rin are the two main characters in the story of “Melancholia”. The main theme focuses on mathematical geniuses and maths as a subject. Earlier, the story went at a fast pace when we saw Baek Seung Yoo nominated for the Maths Olympiad and Sung Ye Rin, who seems to be working hard to pass the exam and succeed.
As they both appear to be preparing for the Olympiad orations, Sung Ye Rin is finishing her work and heading to Ji Yoon Soo to deliver it. When Ji Yoon Soo encounters a speech, it seems that the work of a certain expert makes him a little suspicious of Sung Ye Rin.
On the other hand, when the scene changes to this day when the Olympiad is being held, Baek Seung Yoo appears to be devastated as he sees one of the MIT professors where he had studied as a ten-year-old child.
