Sandeep Nahar, who worked in Sushant Singh Rajput-starrer MS Dhoni: The Untold Story and Kesari has died by suicide. Mumbai Police confirmed his death. The actor had shared a suicide note on social media where he mentioned personal problems as the reason for taking this drastic step.
Who was Sandeep Nahar?
Sandeep Nahar played MS Dhoni’s friend in the film MS Dhoni: The Untold Story and was seen as Buta Singh in Akshay Kumar’s Kesari. He was also a part of ALTBalaji web series Kehno Ko Humsafar Hai, Zee5’s Shukranu and Sonakshi Sinha-starrer Khandaani Shafakhana.
Sandeep Nahar dies of Suicide
Sandeep Nahar has shared a suicide note on Facebook along with a video. In the note, he has stated that he is taking his life due to personal problems. He also attached a video of himself where he shared that he doesn’t share a good relationship with his wife, Kanchan Sharma. Sandeep died at his residence in Oshiwara in Mumbai. The Mumbai Police have filed a case and are investigating the matter.
Mumbai Police rules put foul play for now
DCP Vishal Thakur of Mumbai Police Zone 11 said, “We have registered ADR in the matter. He was found hanging from the ceiling fan with the help of a bedsheet. His wife informed the Goregaon Police Station about Sandeep’s death. Goregaon Police is now investigating the matter.”

According to DCP Vishal Thakur Sandeep Nahar was a resident of Goregaon West. He lived in the flat with his wife. DCP Vishal Thakur further said that in the evening, Sandeep Nahar went inside his room and locked the door from inside. As he did not come out of the room for a long time, his wife started banging on the door. She later called the owner of the flat and a carpenter. When they opened the door they were shocked to find 32 year old, Sandeep Nahar hanging from the ceiling fan. They rushed him to two private hospitals but he was declared dead. They again brought the body back home and informed the cops.
DCP Vishal Thakur said, “The body has been sent for post mortem. For now, foul play is not visible. It looks like suicide. However, post mortem report and other inquiry will give more details.”
What did Sandeep Nahar share on Facebook?
Sandeep Nahar shared a 10-minute long video along with a note that read, “#Suicide #note ab jeene ki ichha nahi ho rahi hai. Life me kafi sukh dukh dekhe, har problem ko face kiya but aaj mai jis trauma se guzar raha hun wo bardash ke bahar hai. Mai janta hun ki suicide karna kayarta hai mujhe bhi jeena tha but aise jeene ka bhi kya fayeda janha sakun or self respect na ho.

Sandeep wrote that Bollywood is a fake place where a lot of politics happen. He said, “I would like to thank the film industry as well, but there is a lot of politics here. People will give you a lot of hope, but you will get replaced in projects despite of signing an agreement. The industry will eat your time and the people here are emotionless.
Concluding the note, he said he would have committed suicide a long ago, but he wanted to give life another chance. He added he felt trapped in an unhappy marriage and suicide looked like the only way out. He ended the note with a request not to blame his wife for his death and get her psychiatric help so that she can live a better life in future.

Friends remember him as an emotional person
As per reports, Sandeep’s friends described him as an emotional person. In his suicide note, he mentioned that he could not tell his friends and other people about his personal life as he had always kept a strong face in front of the world. He further added that he couldn’t deal with the pain, frustration and trauma of being in an unhappy marriage. Sandeep mentioned his wife and her mother’s names in a suicide note and alleged that they mentally tortured him. He also thanked his parents for supporting him throughout his life and asked everyone not to bother them.
