“Satish Kaushik offered to marry me when I was pregnant”
Actress Neena Gupta, in her autobiography, reveals “Sach Kahun Toh”, revealed that director-actor Satish Kaushik offered to marry her when she was pregnant out of Wedlock. “You can tell everyone the child is mine. I am dark-skinned so everyone will believe it,” Satish told Neena. The actress got pregnant while she was in a relationship with former cricketer Sir Viv Richards.
Neena and cricketer Vivian Richards has a daughter together, Masaba Gupta. They were dating in the 1980s. Today, while Vivian Richards is married to Miriam, Neena Gupta is now married to chartered accountant Vivek Mehra.
Talking about raising Masaba as a single parent, Neena had said,
“It was very hard. It was harder than I imagined. I feel it was wrong because a child needs both the parents to be around, and they need quality time. They need a lot of time and I feel that if I didn’t have to earn money, Masaba would have been even better.”
