The first look of Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Rajkummar Rao’s first film together The White Tiger has been released recently.
The pictures of the first look have been shared by its actors on multiple social media platforms. The release date for the movie has yet to be announced by Netflix. Read to know more about The White Tiger.

2008 was indeed a good year for Arvind Adiga when he received the 40th Man Booker Prize for his first novel. “Oh I remember when I first read the early forms of The White Tiger even before Arvind finished writing it, I was impressed, ” says Ramin Bahrani, director of The White Tiger.
Back Story of The White Story
Balram Halwai (Adarsh Gourav) narrates his epic journey through his unsent letters to the Chinese Premier (Prime Minister of China). He narrates a poor tea shop worker who rose from a small village to a driver for a rich family, to a successful entrepreneur in the call-center hub of Bangalore.
In those unsent letters which were sent to the Chinese Premier, Balram mentioned himself as ‘The White Tiger’ of India, the whole story revolves around the same young man who was not able to get to school because of his low birthrights but this does not stop him from becoming a successful entrepreneur.
In the novel, Balram is described as the smartest boy in his village. He started his journey as a tea shop worker, later he was hired by a rich man (Ashok) as his driver.
In the movie, Rajkummar Rao plays the character of Ashok who has returned from the States with his wife Pinky, played by Priyanka Chopra Jonas. Ashok takes Balram with him to live in Delhi. While working for Ashok in Delhi, Balram realizes about the opportunities to grow and the money he can earn which he would never be able to get in the village.
In the story, Balram ended up murdering his master, took his cash with him, and went to Bangalore, where he becomes the greatest entrepreneur.
The epilogue of the Story
For one who reads the story of Balram would feel sorry for this ambitious, poor, and hardworking man whose education was cut short, making his story very subfusc and aqueous at first. But Balram is also conceited and ruthless and his story is not just a poor man’s rise to monetary success but one of corruption, bribery, and murder.
Adiga pictures India, where he signifies the inequalities for being poor and rich, where rich lives their best and poor lives in such extremes, ‘The Light’ and ‘The darkness’. Certainly, uncomfortable at its best.

“In my work in the U.S., I haven’t done a dramatic part like that. So that was very exciting for me.” Says Priyanka Chopra Jonas.
“I play the role of Pinky madam, who is a first-generation immigrant in the US. She is in India with her husband, who is traveling for business. And then… life changes! Pinky madam is such a specific character, to play her unraveling in the story was such a joy”, says Priyanka Chopra Jonas.
