“Pinch Me” Neon Green to Blonde: Billie Eilish goes BLONDE, her brother reacted “The beginning of a new era”

Billie Eilish

Billie Eilish gave fans a pleasant surprise, as she has officially let go of her iconic green and black hair, the one she’s had since 2019, and has gone blonde!

Billie Eilish New Haircolor

Eilish revealed her new look in a post on her Instagram handle and immediately went viral. Her post, which was posted just last night, now almost has 17 million likes– and counting! “Pinch me”, she captioned the post.

She also posted a video of her flipping her hair and popping in the frame, revealing the blonde colour. “Did you guess correctly?” she asks in the caption.

Her brother Finneas, shared the same post on his Instagram story, writing: “The beginning of a new era”.

Billie’s fans knew a major hair change was coming soon, because she told them so on her Instagram Live back in December. “I’m changing it after the doc comes out,” she said, referring to her documentary The World’s A Little Blurry. “It will be the end of an era. I’m going to give you a new era.”

This is not the first time Eilish has gone through a hair colour transformation. Ever since entering the music industry, she has had a variety of hair colours, from silver, to violet, to black, and different shades of blue. She’s been wearing her green roots since 2019.

Eilish particularly wasn’t a fan of the blue. “I was told that whoever dyed my hair in October used a permanent blue, so that shit is not coming out,” she said. “I have sat in that stupid salon chair for hours, and hours, and hours, and hours, and hours, and hours, and hours, and hours, and hours, and hours, and hours, and hours, and hours, and hours, and hours trying to get that blue out, and that bitch will not get the fuck out of my hair.”

Fan Reactions:

It is safe to say that fans absolutely lost their calm after seeing Billie Eilish in platinum blonde hair.

Billie Eilish at the Grammys

The 19-year-old was awarded ‘Record of the Year’ as well as for ‘Song Written for Visual Media’ at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards. She also performed her hit song, “Everything I Wanted”

“This is really embarrassing for me,” Eilish said in her acceptance speech. “Megan girl, I was going to write a speech talking about how you deserve this but I was like, there’s no way it would be me. You deserve this. You had a year that I think is untoppable. You are a queen. You are so beautiful, you are so talented. I think about you constantly. I wrote for you always. You deserve it, honestly. Can we just cheer for Megan Thee Stallion, please.”

“I really do appreciate this. Thank you to the academy, thank you to Ringo [Starr, who presented the award]… Thank you to my brother Finneas. I love you”, Eilish added, thanking her brother who has been with her through everything.
