BLACKPINK is one of the most popular girl groups in South Korea and Internationally. The group consists of 4 girls, Lisa, Rose, Jennie, and Jisoo. Although BLACKPINK doesn’t release a lot of music (9 tracks in 3 years) they continue to get new fans every year. They released their first-ever full album in 2020, THE ALBUM, and have been hinting towards the member’s solo works for a while now
Rosé ‘On the Ground’ MV Release
YG Entertainment revealed the music video teaser for the BLACKPINK’s member’s debut solo single and while it’s brief, it encapsulates high-fashion glamour coupled with Rosé’s cool insouciance. As the hype for Rosé’s debut solo album builds, so do the records she’s breaking. On March 1, YG Entertainment and Rosé shared two teasers on their social media accounts. One featured Rosé lying down on what appears to be a leather beige couch. Her upper body is covered in a lilac-colored fabric. Her solo has been confirmed to be released on 12 March, Friday.
What time will Rosé solo be released in India?
The music video of ‘On the Ground’ is set to go live on March 12 at midnight EST and at 2 p.m. KST on YouTube. This means that Indian blinks will be able to listen to the solo by 11am IST.
This is going to be Rose’s first solo project. It is common for idols from different groups to release their solo works, and Rose’s album is highly anticipated. Rose’s fellow Blackpink members Jennie, Jisoo and Lisa also shared the teaser posters on their Instagram Stories to show support for their main vocalist.
The other three Blackpink members have also tried their hand at solo projects in music and on television. Jennie made her solo debut with the single Solo in 2018, while Lisa works as mentor in dance reality series Youth With You Season 2 streaming on Chinese streamer iQIYI.
Jisoo has tried her hand in acting and will be making her debut as a lead in the upcoming drama Snowdrop alongside acton Jung Hae-in.
