Every cricket fan today was on their feet. England’s fans were praying for 6s and 4s from Sam Curran, while Indians were praying for a wicket of Sam Curran. But in the end, it was India who took the series (2-1). Respect for Sam Curran, amazing game! Unfortunate tour for England in India as they lost to India all 3 formats. But indeed it would be a good learning experience for the youngsters of both the teams. What an outstanding last match this is to end England’s journey in India, the toughest competition by England they could give to India.

Sam Curran’s 95, earlier 15 was his highest
95* by Curran, the joint highest Innings ever for a number 8 in ODI cricket. Sam Curran has never scored more than 15 runs in his ODI batting career. It could not be the case if Hardik Pandya didn’t drop the catch of Sam Curran at his 22. England was 200/7 at one stage, yet India won by just seven runs in a nail-biting finish, poor fielding was clearly the reason. Those turned-down singles might have cost England and Pandya’s second last over surely works the best in favor of India.
Man of the Match: Sam Curran
Man of the Series: Jonny Bairstow
