Thanking her fans who expressed their support for Samantha after she and Naga Chaitanya announced that they were breaking up, the actress wrote: “Your emotional investment into a personal crisis has overwhelmed me. Thanks to everyone for showing deep empathy, caring and defending against the false rumours and stories that keep spreading. They say that I had affairs, I never wanted children, that I am an opportunist, and now I had abortions.”

The announcement that Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya were separating appeared just a few days before their fourth wedding anniversary, on October 6. Samantha and Chaitanya were married for almost four years. However, rumours of their separation started earlier this year after Samantha changed her name to “S” on her social media. After she announced her separation, she changed her name back to Samantha.
