Shershaah: After a period of a lull last year due to the pandemic, Bollywood is gearing up for back-to-back releases this year. The latest one to join the bandwagon is Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani starrer ‘Shershaah’. The makers have announced that the film will hit the theatres on July 2, 2021.

About the film: ‘Shershaah’
Shershaah is an upcoming Indian Hindi language biographical war action film directed by Vishnu Varadhan and co-produced by Karan Johar. Tracing the life journey of Param Vir Chakra awardee and army captain Vikram Batra, it stars Sidharth Malhotra in a double role, as Batra and his identical twin brother Vishal, Kiara Advani will be essaying the role of Vikram’s fiancé Dimple Cheema in the film. The official announcement for the film was made in May 2019. Initially scheduled to be released on 3 July 2020, the film was postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. This also marks Vishnuvardhan’s directorial debut in Bollywood and Hindi film. The film is scheduled for release on 2 July 2021.
Directed by Vishnu Varadhan, the movie is based on the life of war hero Vikram Batra who was posthumously awarded Param Vir Chakra for his bravery. It will also star Sidharth’s rumored girlfriend Kiara Advani in the lead role.
