Are there any new characters in Stranger Things season 4?

There are a bunch of new characters in Stranger Things season 4! It’s really exciting there will be so many new faces in the season.

Back in November 2020, Netflix announced eight new actors joined the cast of Stranger Things season 4. Jamie Campbell Bower, Joseph Quinn, and Eduardo Franco are the new series regular in season 4. They’ll have a bigger role than the other new characters.

Eduardo Franco stars as Argyle, Jonathan’s new best friend and pizza delivery boy. Joseph Quinn plays Eddie Munson, the leader of The Hellfire Club, the Hawkins High D&D club. And, Jamie Campbell Bower will plays Peter Ballard, a guy who works at a psychiatric facility.

We have at least five more new characters in season 4, including horror legend Robert Englund, best known for playing Freddy Krueger. Englund will play Victor Creel, a murderer in a psychiatric facility.

The other four new cast members are: Tom Wlaschiha as Dmitri, a Russian guard at the prison where Hopper is being held; Nikola Djuricko as Yuri, a Russian smuggler; Mason Dye as Jason Carver, a popular teen who is dating the most popular girl at Hawkins High and Sherman Augustus as Lt. Colonel Sullivan.

We know the most about Yuri after the latest Stranger Things season 4 teaser. It sounds like Yuri owns a Fish and Fly company in Anchorage, Alaska. Could he be the ticket to saving Hopper? We’ll have to wait and see! There are rumors that other new characters are in Stranger Things season 4, including Levon Thurman Hawke, who is Maya Hawke’s brother. That casting has yet to be confirmed.

Gaten Matarazzo from Stranger Things

“Because filming the show is already, very much in a stand-by year. Like whenever you’re home, you’ll know if you’re going back two weeks beforehand or something like that. But now they don’t need me to know what the schedule was gonna look like. And so I guess the last couple months have been more about getting used to the idea when you’re going to finish before production approved, or things shut down. And the set itself is a lot different than usual as can be expected.”

He further said,

“A lot of precautions being taken. And I always catch myself, when we’re on set, we also have to wear eye protection and masks and stuff. And because the actors are the only ones on set and you need to remove the personal protective equipment and the put it back on. Sometimes we’ll just leave goggles on set. And if you walk back to your chair without your goggles, People are like, ‘Goggles, goggles, goggles where are they?’ And I’m like panic attacks, anxiety, all that jazz.”
