New World Order: Episode 1 of The Falcon And The Winter Soldier gives us mixed feelings about seeing the world without Steve Rodgers aka The Captain America and watching a new Captain America taking up his place. Clearly, deep down everyone wants to see Sam as our new Captain America, holding the Vibranium shield and not some other guy with a cunning smile.

Episode 1 of The Falcon And The Winter Soldier: Review

Following the events of Avengers: Endgame, Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) and Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) are back with MCU’s new mini-series of 6 episodes. The writer Malcolm Spellman tries to give the necessary space to both the characters in the first episode. Although, throughout the premiere both the characters felt the absence of their old friend, Captain America. The first episode starts with Sam Wilson going on a flying rescue all alone to save captured Army captain from the same opening villain from The Winter Soldier. While Bucky is struggling with his nightmares and personal demons in therapy. In the premiere, we can the parallel yet similar lives of both the heroes. Both have moments where they were trying to connect with others in their worlds or they look away from the people they’re talking to or willingly don’t like to connect with others.

The episode showed the Connection between Bucky and Sam

Throughout the premiere, the absence of Captain America looms over both characters, they both quite find it hard to settle in the world with Captain. Sam has tried to contact Bucky, but he isn’t yet ready to talk to Sam and he’s even ignoring Sam’s texts for quite along. Clearly, Sam knows that Bucky is alive and will be in pain after Captain’s death, attempting to show care.

How will Buck and Sam Reunites

Speculations are that Sam will help Bucky to fight his nightmares, and their friendship will grow in the series. Might be Sam isn’t happy about the newly announced Captain America and so do Bucky. Bucky might want someone he knows or he can trust to take his lost friend’s, Steve Rodgers, place. Later in the series, they might end up fighting with the new Captain America, John Walker played by Wyatt Russell, the same person who might be behind the robbery case which was happened in Switzerland, as shown in the first episode. We can hope to them together in the next episode, fighting together, and not just off each other’s metal arm.

Who is the newly announced Captain America in the The Falcon and The Winter Soldier series

Episode 1 ‘New World Order’ ends with a press conference, held by the United States Government to introduce a new Captain America with a shield. But so far the identity of the person remains hidden in the series, but we all know the person behind the mask, Wyatt Russell. Wyatt Russell, whose new character John Walker now wears the star-spangled suit and wields that iconic shield.

How many episodes will The Falcon and The Winter Soldier have?

This new series by MCU will have 6 episodes, starting from March 19, 2021, to end on April 22, 2021. The next episode will be on Friday, March 26, 2021.  The whole series can be watched on Disney+.
