Taylor Swift to release the 'Taylor Version' of "Love Story" at midnight, and then later of her album "Fearless"
Swifties, we are in for a treat. Pop singer Taylor Swift has announced, that tonight at midnight she will be releasing the re-recorded version of her famous song “Love Story”, and following up with releasing her version of the entire “Fearless” album including 6 brand new songs, sometime very soon.

“I’m thrilled to tell you that my new version of Fearless (Taylor’s Version) is done and will be with you soon. It has 26 songs including 6 never before released songs from the vault. Love Story (Taylor’s Version) will be out tonight.”, she announced on Twitter.

The 31-year-old singer also appeared on “Good Morning America” on Thursday and announced that she’s officially finished re-recording her “Fearless” album from November 2008.

“Good morning America, it’s Taylor. I’m so excited to share with you that tonight at midnight I’ll be putting out my version of my song ‘Love Story’ which was originally my album ‘Fearless,'” she said.

“I’ve now finished re-recording all of ‘Fearless’ which will be coming out soon. My version of ‘Fearless’ will have 26 songs on it because I’ve decided to add songs from the vault which are songs that almost made the ‘Fearless’ album but I’ve now gone back and recorded those so that everyone will be able to hear not only the songs that made the album but this song that almost made it. The full picture!”

“Fearless,” marked the beginning of Swift’s serious crossover from country music to pop, and has been characterized as the most awarded album in country music history. It won Swift her first Grammy Award for album of the year, a feat she later repeated with “1989”. “Fearless” was Swift’s highly successful album and was certified diamond by the RIAA for shipments of more than 10 million units in the U.S., although “1989” was also certified for 9 million.

Why has Taylor Swift re-recorded her album?

Swift first promised in 2019 that she has planned to re-record her album, after her original master recordings were sold along with the rest of Big Machine, to sworn archenemy Scooter Braun’s Ithaca Holdings. Braun had sold off Swift’s catalog to Shamrock Holdings for hundreds of millions of dollars, something that will continue to profit Braun even in the future.

Swift took to re-recording her hits so that at least she can push the original versions down in rankings and search results as the new versions are embraced by her fans, many of whom will eagerly listen to her re-recorded versions in trying to teach Braun and Big Machine a lesson. Through actually having control on her songs now, Swift can use them for whatever purpose that she likes, and will be at the receiving end of the profit that it makes. Big Machine and Shamrock will be prohibited from using the original versions for those purposes, as that also requires the permission of the song publisher, aka, Swift. More power to Taylor Swift!
