Manasa Varanasi, a resident of Hyderabad in Telangana, on Wednesday night was crowned the winner of Miss India World 2020 competition. The 23-year-old is a financial information exchange analyst and will represent India at the 70th Miss World pageant in December 2021.

Born in the heart of Hyderabad, Manasa Varanasi is a financial information exchange analyst. The 23-year-old enjoys exploring the world of finance.
She has diverse interests ranging from books, music and yoga. According to Miss India, while growing up, Manasa was a shy child and instead preferred to express herself through Bharatanatyam and music. These art forms, coupled with her volunteering experiences have taught her the most important lessons on curiosity and courage.
The Miss India 2020 winner finds her mother, grandmother and younger sister the three most influential people in her life. Apart from the women in her life, she is inspired by Priyanka Chopra, who is also the winner of the Miss World 2000 pageant.
In an interview, she said, “Out of all the beauty queens, Priyanka Chopra really stands out to me because she’s an explorer – she has always chosen to push her boundaries and made her mark in various spaces – music, movies, entrepreneurship, social work and the list goes on. Also, as a shy kid who tried to make herself heard, I always looked up to Priyanka for the outspoken badass that she was. It’s her versatility and strength that I draw inspiration from.”

Haryana’s Manika Sheokand was declared Miss Grand India 2020 and Uttar Pradesh’s Manya Singh was crowned Miss India 2020 runner-up.
Miss Grand India 2019, Shivani J Jadhav crowned Manika Sheokand the Miss Grand India 2020. And Miss India United Continents 2019, Shreya Shanker crowned Uttar Pradesh’s Manya Singh Miss India 2020 runner-up.
The finale of the Miss India pageant 2021 was a star-studded affair, with a performance by Vaani Kapoor and Aparshakti Khurrana acted as a host for the grand night
The Miss India jury panel comprised of actors such as Neha Dhupia, Chitrangada Singh, Pulkit Samrat and renowned designer duo Falguni and Shane Peacock.
The opening round of the pageant was led by Miss World Asia 2019 Suman Rao. The grand finale will be telecast on February 28 on Colors TV channel.
