“The Policeman’s Lineage”: Choi Woo Shik and Jo Jin Woong Work Together Despite Suspicious Motives In Crime Film

Choi Woo Shik and Jo Jin Woong are wrapping up their new crime film called “The Policeman Lineage”. The movie is directed by writer and director Lee Gyu Man of “Children…” and  “Wide Awake”. Both of the actors have taken up very suspicious and suspenseful roles and fans are very excited for the upcoming crime thriller movie.

“The Policeman’s Lineage” tells the events of a dangerous investigation between a district commissioner, who boasts an unprecedented number of arrests while receiving large sums of money from an unknown source, and a police officer who receives the letters with the job of keeping his secret.

In addition to crime filmmaker Jo Jin Woong and Choi Woo Shik is returning to the big screen for the first time since “Parasite,” the upcoming drama features talented and loving members including Park Hee Soon, Kwon Yool, and Park Myung Hoon. Jo Jin Woong plays the role of Park Kang Yoon, the head of the regional investigation unit who puts criminals in charge of his beliefs above all else and has no interest in using illegal means to obtain any kind of information.


Choi Woo Shik plays the stars as a regular police officer Choi Min Jae. In order to obtain a confidential letter about his father, a former police officer, Choi Min Jae takes on the task of digging into the park of Kang Kang Yoon. Choi Min Jae joins Park Kang Yoon’s party as an undercover detective.

On both posters, the text read, “Two policemen stood on the border. Who will you trust? ” The posters evoke a longing for the chemistry of Choi Min Jae and the unusual Park Kang Yoon as they go back and forth on each other’s suspicions and trust in each other.

In addition, Park Hee Soon plays the role of chief inspector Hwang In Ho, who gives Choi Min Jae a covert job for the purpose of giving him confidential documents about his father. Kwon Yool has replaced Na Young Bin, a criminal who only deals with the top 1 percent of the unreachable population, and Park Myung Hoon plays the criminal Cha Dong Chul, who survives his police dealings.


The Policeman Lineage will air on January 2022 after Choi Woo Shik is set to be seen in a romance drama (OUR BELOVED SUMMER) alongside Kim Da Mi from Itaewon Class. Fans are very excited for the new movie to air and as for now, only the teaser poster has been revealed.
