WATCH | The trailer for “Bhramam” presents a dark comedy with hilarious characters. A visually challenged pianist (or not?)

Bhramam - Prithviraj Sukumaran

Touted as a dark comedy, Bhramam sees Prithviraj and Unni Mukundan confront a dark, humorous mystery this time around. A visually insufficient (or not?) Pianist, a dodgy cop, an ex-actor and his wife, and tons of other hilarious characters fill the first trailer for Bhramam, the Malayalam remake of Andhadhun.

Prithviraj plays the pianist while Raashi Khanna plays the girl who falls in love with him. Unni Mukundan as a cop, and Shankar writes essays for a former actor with Mamta Mohandas as wife.

Bhramam is the second South Indian remake of Andhadhun to be released after the Maestro, which premiered on September 10 on Disney Plus Hotstar. Tamil’s Andhadun remake is in post-production and will be released soon. Andhadhun’s themes of infidelity, deception and betrayal seem to have captured the imaginations of southern filmmakers.

The Bhramam trailer gives an insight into the life of Ray Mathews, a pretentious blind pianist who finds solace in his music. However, by accident, he witnesses the murder of a former actor, after which all hell breaks loose. As lies and deception surround Ray, he tries to save his life. Prithviraj Sukumaran gives an astonishing performance, reprising the role of Ayushmann Khurrana in the original film Andhadhun. Mamta Mohandas and Raashi Khanna reprise the role of Tabu and Radhika Apte respectively. While Unni Mukundan plays the skilled policeman, Jagadish Kumar plays the role of a criminal doctor.
