Ghanshyam Nayak (Nattu Kaka) of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, who entertained everyone as Nattu Kaka for years, died today (October 3). He breathed his last at the age of 77. Ghanshyam Nayak was undergoing treatment for cancer for a long time. Due to illness, he could not go for shoots at regular intervals. The talented artist died on Sunday (October 3) in Mumbai. Tanmay Vekeria, who plays Bagga, said: “I got the message first when his son called me at 5:45 pm. His condition did not improve after being hospitalized a few months ago. He died today at 5:30 pm.” Tanmay continued, “He was a jewel and was closest to me. He tried his best to work with us again, but his health did not allow. I am very sad that he has passed away. “

Ghanshyam Nayak aka Nattu Kaka was also very close to Dilip Joshi. On the show, he had his maximum scenes with Bagga (Tanmay Vekeria) and Jethalal (Dilip Joshi) while they were working at Gada Electronics.

In the same interview, he talked about his treatment and said: “The treatment is ongoing and I hope I will be fine. I am undergoing treatment and after tomorrow’s episode I hope the shooting will be resumed soon in Mumbai and I look forward to going back to work. I have chemotherapy and it happens once a month. The doctor told me that I can work and no problem, I just want to spread the positives and tell everyone I’m fine”.

Adding on, he further said, “I am fit and fine and I can shoot. Whatever is circulating is old and I want to tell everyone I’m fine. I know that I will live for 100 years and nothing will happen to me, I know it for sure. I am a positive person and I never get negative or nervous in my life. I want to work until my last breath and I would die with makeup. I just want God to grant my wish.”
Significantly, last year he had a throat operation. Ghanshyam Nayak had worked in films with the TV industry. He proved his mettle in films like Beta, Tiranga, Aankhen, Ladla, Krantiveer, Andolan, Barsaat, Maaf, Mafia, Chahat, Ishq, China Gate, Tere Naam and Khaki.
