Dhanush’s Karnan’s Movie 2021
Karnan movie is an upcoming Tamil-language movie project for Dhanush, directed by Mari Selvaraj and Santosh Narayan as music director. The movie is set to be released this year in April 2021. The launch of the project ‘Karnan’ was started in 2018 but it got delayed due to Dhanush’s other commitments to different projects. The whole movie is based upon the Manjolai riots that took place in Tamil Nadu on 23 July 1999. The incident at Thamirabarani river also known as the Manjolai Massacreor Thamirabarani massacre had led to the death of 17 laborers when those laborers tried to escape through the river in order s=to save themselves from the police lathi-charge. The riot was against the wage settlement for the tea plantation workers of the Manjolai estate.
