About Cherry
We’re all used to seeing Tom Holland as Marvel’s adorable, strong and innocent superhero, but he offers us a completely different role in Anthony and Joe Russo’s Cherry. Based on Nico Walker’s semi-autobiographical novel, the movie is going to follow the life of an Army medic, i.e, Tom holland, who has PTSD, and becomes addicted opioids, and retorts to robbing banks to fund his addiction. Cherry will feature Holland’s darkest on-screen role yet.
“I think there might have been some people at Disney confused as to why their Spider-Man had become a heroin addict.” Holland joked, talking about his dark role in the movie.
