The rumours of Beyoncé being a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe have been going on for quite some time. According to The Sun newspaper, the singer is reportedly in talks to sign an £80 million ($100 million) deal for three major projects.
The rumours included her playing the role of ‘Storm’ from X-Men in Black Panther 2, and while nothing so far has been confirmed, fans can’t help but picture her as Storm.
Beyoncé as Storm
Ever since these rumours got viral, fans couldn’t help but picture the Grammy winning singer as the character, Storm from X-Men. Various fan arts have been made, and one fan art from apexform, got viral last year.
Storm’s character in X-Men is one of the most iconic characters. Storm was not among the team’s original roster, however, from the moment she debuted in 1975 she’s become one of the franchise’s most beloved heroes.
Will Beyoncé play the role of Storm?
Nothing about Beyoncé’s role as Storm has been confirmed yet, but a possibility of her accepting the role still hangs there. The ‘single-ladies’ singer has previously played a role in Disney’s Lion King, and it is likely that she might decide to work with Disney again.
The Sun reported, “Beyoncé has become a major player for Disney and is the perfect fit for their brand. She’s worked on a number of projects for them, including voicing Nala in the reboot of The Lion King, and now they’re keen to secure her for more projects.”
“Disney have put forward a deal worth around £80million ($101 million), which will secure Beyoncé for three major projects, including the Black Panther sequel.”, they continued. Other potential projects for Beyoncé have also been mentioned, and they were voiceovers for Disney+ documentaries.
