What does ‘Dune’ focus on?
Dune follows the adventures of Paul Atreides (Chalamet), a bright young man born into the noble house of Atreides. The Atreides family attempts to create life on the planet Arrakis in the far future. The Harkonnens, commanded by Baron Harkonnen, are their main rivals. Zendaya played Chani, a fearsome warrior, in the first half of the film.
The Dune franchise has been the talk of the town among people on Booktube and BookTok ever since the new versions of the books along with the announcement of the movie came out. The cast is star-studded including Timothee Chalamet, Jason Momoa, Oscar Isaac, Rebecca Ferguson, Zendaya and Dave Bautista.
Will Zendaya be in Dune Part Two?
Zendaya plays Chani, a young woman from Arrakis’ native desert tribe known as the Fremen, appears briefly in Paul Atreides’ (Timothée Chalamet) visions throughout the tale in the first part. When Paul and his Bene Gesserit mother, Lady Jessica (Rebecca Ferguson), arrive in the deep desert and encounter Chani, he insists on joining her and the other Fremen to carry out his father’s goals of forging an alliance and restoring peace to Arrakis.
Villeneuve pledges that the Dune sequel, which will cover the second half of Frank Herbert’s classic 1965 novel, would have a lot more Chani. “I know we had a glimpse of her in Part One, but she’ll play a major role in Part Two,” Villeneuve stated.
When will Dune Part two come out?
Part two of Dune is set to begin filming later this year, with an October 20, 2023 release date. Villeneuve will direct and produce the sequel, while Spaihts will co-write the script with him.
