The album comes after her fifth album, ‘Norman F***ing Rockwell, which was released in 2019 and was an instant hit. The release of ‘Chemtrials Over the Country Clubs’ was pushed back due to the ongoing pandemic. However, prior to the release of the album with 11 tracks, we got two of the song, the title track “Chemtrails Over the Country Club” and another one titled “Let Me Love You Like a Woman”.

Lana took to Twitter to announce the release of her album and share her album art as well. “What a pretty day in LA to release an album,” the singer tweeted with a photo.

While introducing her album to the world, Lana had captioned her Instagram post: “There’s always turmoil and upheaval and in the midst of it- there’s always beautiful music too introducing my new album chemtrails over the country club.”

The songs in the album follow Lana’s signature slow and soothing songs with powerful lyrics. Her unique style of writing love songs is reflected in this album as well.

The title track, which was released a while back, has already been loved and streamed religiously by fans. Apart from the title track, other songs from the album titled “Tulsa Jesus Freak”, “Not All Those Who Wander Are Lost”, “White Dress”, is being widely listened to.

Lana has collaborated with several artists on the 11 tracks and also includes Taylor Swift’s collaborator and producer Jack Antonoff. Jack has reportedly co-produced most of COTCC with Lana Del Rey.

Even a few hours prior to the release of the album, fans had been excited and have trended various hashtags related to Lana. Her album topped the charts hours within it’s release, despite having little to no promotions. Justin Bieber’s new album follows it at number two, which was also released on the same date.
