Yash Raj Films have treated fans with a major announcement today and revealed that Ranbir Kapoor starrer Shamshera, Ranveer Singh’s Jayeshbhai Jordaar will be having a summer release.
It hasn’t been long since the government has permitted 100 percent occupancy in theatres after witnessing the crucial period pandemic and complete shutdown of the industry. And as the theatres are set to witness 100% occupancy, the filmmakers are eager to release their movies on the big screen and are busy reserving the dates for their movies. Amid this, Yash Raj Films also took it as an opportunity and made the big announcement as they confirmed the release date of its five much-awaited movies.
From Akshay Kumar’sPrithviraj’ to Ranbir Kapoor-starrer ‘Shamshera’, five YRF films are set for a theatrical release in 2021. Dibakar Banerjee-directed ‘Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar’ is booked for a March 19 release. The movie, a black comedy, stars Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra.

Following this, ‘Bunty Aur Babli 2’, a sequel to the 2005 blockbuster crime comedy, will premiere on April 23. The movie will feature Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukerji in the lead. While ‘Gully Boy’ star Siddhant Chaturvedi and actress Sharvari will be seen in prominent roles.
Ranveer, Shalini Pandey, Boman Irani, and Ratna Pathak Shah starrer Jayeshbhai Jordaar will be releasing August 27, 2021. This isn’t all. YRF’s period drama Prithviraj which will mark Manushi’s big Bollywood debut will have a Diwali release on November 5 this year.
